NRDCA Announces Annual Meeting Educational Program and Registration Details
Attendees at the NRDCA Educational Conference on March 26-27 at the Marriott Del Mar in San Diego, CA will participate in a breakout session to discuss the issue of “What To Do When Jobs Go Bad.” Contractors will learn the best practices in dealing with the organizations that the contractor must deal with on every job.
Fails Management Institute (FMI) will provide a forceful program covering the issue of “Weathering the Storm – Managing Your Business in a Turbulent Economy.” Learn the key issues in conducting your business from the top construction consultant organization.
As an adjunct topic to the FMI discussion, a presentation will provide proven ways in “Using Technology to Increase Productivity.” Two technologies will be discussed both of which are currently being used to improve the bottom line.
An additional means to improve productivity will be the demonstration of a CAD software program that allows the proper design of a LWIC project. The CAD provides drawings and material take off which assist in bidding and proper field installation.
Optional activities for attendees include golf and a Temecula Wine tour for the ladies.

NRDCA Membership Cost Reduction for New Contractors and Suppliers
The NRDCA extends a special membership cost reduction to contractors and suppliers attending the San Diego Educational Conference March 26-27, 2009. Contractor and suppliers who are not currently NRDCA members will receive a free registration (worth $525.00) to the conference if they become a NRDCA member and make membership payment by March 20, 2009. This is a great opportunity to support the Engineered Roof Deck industry and participate in both the conference and committee activities during the meeting. Rolling Plains Construction Joins the NRDCA
The NRDCA announces that Rolling Plains Construction, Inc. of Henderson, CO recently joined the NRDCA as a contractor member. Heather Boulanger will represent the company in the NRDCA. The company has been installing lightweight insulating concrete systems and spray applied fire resistive materials in the market for many years. Added to the NRDCA web site is a set of comprehensive information on the United States Green Building Council (USGRC) and its LEED® Rating System and how Engineered Roof Deck Systems fit into the LEEDs point system. The information covers the benefits of building green, the USGBC, the LEED rating system, LEED Construction checklist and points provided by Engineered Roof Deck Systems available in the commercial construction market.

F. E. Rooftec Corp. Joins NRDCA
F. E. Rooftec Corporation of Melrose Park, IL joins the NRDCA as a contractor member. The company owner Franklin Evans has been installing LWIC and gypsum roof decks for over 25 years in the North Central market. The NRDCA welcomes Franklin to its membership.
